If you’re the type of person who jumps at the opportunity to create something that’s both impressive and practical, then you’d be perfect for our Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork.

This course is taught at our Middleton Campus in Middleton, Greater Manchester. In particular, it’s located in our state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Centre.

The building is one of the most sought-after places for trades-based training in the region – featuring 6,500 square-metres of the newest and most cutting edge equipment.

You’ll spend most of your time rolling up your sleeves and actually getting hands-on experience – sometimes in our bespoke workshops and other times in the great outdoors.

You can look forward to working with our expert tutors who themselves have worked in the industry. They’ll teach you the basics and watch as you literally build something from the ground up with your new skills.

This Level 1 course is a great way to develop the grounding that you need to enter this timeless industry and will be the ideal springboard onto a Level 2 qualification.

No formal qualifications are required

Prosp User 2

You'll study a range of units which are designed to give you the grounding you need to enter the construction industry.

The following topics will provide you with the knowledge and skills to allow you to progress to the next level of study:

  • Hands-on practical skills development in Brickwork

  • Knowledge of building methods and construction

  • Safe working practices in construction

  • Structural and decorative brickwork

Prosp User 3

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course.

However, our bespoke workshops are designed to replicate a workplace environment and will allow you to feel comfortable in a professional setting.

In addition, you will be encouraged to show off your talents in cross-college skills competitions.

Prosp User 4

This course is perfect for allowing you to progress to study a Level 2 qualification.

However, you may also wish to pursue an apprenticeship or alternative traineeships.
