Our new Psychology and Mental Health pathway is ideal for anyone looking to study psychology at university.

This course is designed for those with an interest in psychology and mental health generally, and, more specifically, a psychology-related career. Such careers might include counselling, occupational psychology, educational psychology, teaching, human resources, management, research, the police, and many others.

This diploma is the first step to working in this industry – and there's no more exciting start to this journey than doing this qualification at Hopwood Hall College and University Centre.

Access courses are designed for students who want a fast track route to university or to progress into careers and vocations that require higher level qualifications. Access to HE Diploma (Psychology and Mental Health)

Immediate entry to the one-year Level 3 Access to HE Diploma offers students who have already attained sufficient GCSE qualifications the quickest route to university. Usually this means students must have attained 4 GCSEs grade A-C/9-4, including English.

The Access to HE Diploma offers students a way to gain the qualifications needed to enter Higher Education and gain a degree, continuing to their chosen career. The topics studied are fully aligned with psychology degree modules required for recognition by the British Psychological Society.

Students achieving the Psychology and Mental Health Diploma can progress to a variety of degree courses and careers, from psychology and counselling degrees to careers in health care, occupational and educational psychology, the police, teaching, human resources, management, and many more.
